Hey Braves/Bulldogs fans… IT’S JUST SPORTS!!!

As a fan of the Reds/Bengals/Buckeyes I think I’ve been through my fair share of disappointment. Sure this year all 3 teams are pretty good (and the Reds are doing amazing) but the last 15 or so years have been rough (minus that 2003 OSU National Championship).
Anyways I was watching the Braves Wild Card game last week and I was blown away by the reaction of the fans to that blown call. Whether the call was bad is one discussion (I won’t get into that) but how a fan reacts to a bad call easily shows me what kind of person they are. Throwing trash on the field and chanting obscenities is not the way to tell the world “that honey boo boo family doesn’t represent the typical Georgia resident”.
I let that disappointment slide.
Until I read that fans of the Bulldogs TP’ed and EGGED Aaron Murray’s house after the loss to SC Saturday. It was widely known that the same day as the loss Aaron Murray found out his dad had been diagnosed with cancer and yet the Georgia fans STILL trashed his house. What kind of response is that? There are some things more important than football and respecting a man whose dad has cancer is WAAAAAAAY more important than getting upset over a dumb game.
